TO ALL DEAR VISITOR
Hello good day to all visitor,i am just a domestic helper in Hong kong, and here i just wanted to share my feelings with visitor on my this blog, and hopefully what i have experienced it can make valuable lesson for visitor especially my friends domestic helpers like me. I am sure not just only me got experienced as i have.Ok dear visitor i wanna tell my story on the 2nd april 2012 at around 18.45 pm i been having an argument with the cashier of one famous bakery shop in Kennedy town,at the time i bought the contents of 8 slices wheat bread are usually the price is hkg $ 11,so at that time i gave money hkg $ 15 to the cashier and i put that money on the cashier table,and next my money there hkg $ 2 coin. The cashier then took my money hkg $ 15 with detail: hkg $ 10 in the form of paper and while the hkg $ 5 a coin. And she let the hkg $ 2 a coin without keep it. When the cashier served me as customer,she received a visitor and she was talking to much with that visitor. Then the cashier returned the excess money hkg $ 1 also with receipt of payment. I was surprised why the bread that are ussually only hkg $ 11 up to hkg $ 14? then i asked to that cashier about the price of bread and she said today has 20 % discount,so if originil the price hkg $ 11-20 %=8.8,after discount the price become hkg $ 8.8. and how can she gave me hkg $ 1 return??? And then i check on receipt of payment very surprise me because she typed in the receipt of payment is only hkg $ 10 in terms she had taken the money i paid hkg $ 15. I explained that i honestly have to gave money hkg $ 15 but she denies only took hkg $ 10 and the other hkg $ 5 on back to me, in terms she doesn't gave back to me and i didn't accept it.She and other cashier still couldn't believed what i have said and they asked me to remove the entire contents of my wallet and my pants pocket. And of course there no hkg $ 5 a coin because she never gave it back to me. After they didn't found the hkg $ 5 a coin in mine then they gave me back hkg $ 5 because she said i dont want to get out from that shop. The reason i dont want to get out because i was right.I just so wonder why the other cashier very confident that i was the guilty party.And why she doesn't remind to cashier who served me to be more carefully and work in professional by not talking with friends while serving customer, so she should focus to her job.
Dear visitor.....the problem for me here actually is not the hkg $ 5 ammount money,but i feel the unpleasant treatment from them. Mightbe they think because i am just a helper????? I need to underline here although i only a domestic helper i always willing and doing honestly,because i am believe honestly is the best policy.And i am sure many of my friends who's also worked as foreign domestic helper especially here in Hong kong are alot of honest.I understand might 1 of us didn't honestly,and they shouldn't have thingking that most domestic helpers are not honest. I just hope to that cashier to be more professional at work,because even though i am just a helper,i was your customer and i was right what i did is true. Mighbe if i have time in that happened i should asked the cashier to account the cash in box cash she got received with sale data base in the computer,because the computer not going lie,only the person operator who can lie or make mistakes.
Dear visitor...a few months ago i also got experienced the same thing at westwood plaza big supermarket,but finally the cashier apologized to me,because what i said are true that the return of the money is still lacking.
To all my friends fellow domestic helper,be careful when you receiving return from spending money,because we know the cashier sometimes careless,and sometimes there are employers who take into account the small value of money even just 1 cent. But here are more important honesty and self-esteem.And dont be nervous or afraid as long we are in right and honest.
